Lindsey Light  MA, PG Dip. MBACP

  Autumn 2018

Prior to training in Humanistic  Counselling, my background was in art and music. I  have a wide life experience which helps me  have a good rapport with all kinds of people from many walks of life. I work with adults and  believe it is  in the quality of our relationship that we form that makes our work together effective.  I offer counselling and supervision in my practice in Hove.

In everyone's lives there are challenges and difficulties that can be hard to navigate or work through alone.  At times we all experience problems that can feel overwhelming or leave us feeling stuck. This is when talking to someone who understands you can really help.

My aim is that by working together in a comfortable and confidential space you will be able  to create the life you want. If there are changes you would like to make, I can help you in identifying and making those changes. We can explore and  tackle any issues that may stop you from fulfilling your potential or living your life to the fullest.

Issues I can help with include: Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Stress, Addictions, Relationships, Low Esteem, Low Confidence, Bereavement, Divorce, Work Issues, Lack of Direction,  Sexuality, Trauma, Abuse, Eating Disorders, Self harm, Fears, Life Transitions.
Counselling can make a big difference to your happiness and quality of life, by giving you a better understanding of yourself and improving your relationships. You may want to come for a few sessions to explore a particular issue  or come longer term depending on what feels right for you.

I welcome all people on their life journey and honor all lifestyle choices, religious beliefs and sexual orientations.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP 2018) and I adhere to their Ethics and Code of good practice.
