Before becoming a qualified counsellor, my background was in art and music.
I  have had a wide life experience that helps me to have good rapport with all kinds of people from many walks of life. I believe in the value and effectiveness of counselling and I think that it is one of the most useful tools there are to gain insight and to live a better life.

I  believe that it is in the quality of the relationship that we form which makes our work together effective. I have worked in different organizations counselling young people and adults. I now work in  private practice offering counselling and supervision in Brighton and Hove.

Life can be a challenge and sometimes difficulties come up that can be hard to navigate or work through alone. Problems can perhaps feel overwhelming or leave you feeling stuck. This is when talking to someone who is understanding and non-judgemental can really help.

Working through any issues you may have, you will learn more about yourself and find new perspectives. You may be worried, fearful, anxious or depressed; or you could be feeling angry or sad and not know what to do about it. Through counselling  you may discover that feelings aren't something to be afraid of or pushed aside, but instead can be helpful in showing you a way forward.  Coming to counselling will give you a better understanding of your motivations, needs and desires. You may also feel your confidence increases and you are able to make more satisfying life choices.

My aim is to help you find out what changes you would like to make and how to go about making those changes. I can  help you live up  to your full potential and to enjoy your life to the fullest.

Issues I can help with include: Depression, Anxiety, Anger, Stress, Addictions, Relationships, Low Esteem, Low Confidence, Bereavement, Divorce, Work Issues, Lack of Direction,  Sexuality, Trauma, Abuse, Eating Disorders, Self harm, Fears, Life Transitions.

I welcome all people on their life journey and honor all lifestyle choices, religious beliefs and sexual orientations.
I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP 2018) and I adhere to their Ethics and Code of Good Practice.
